Typically, when Canonical releases a new version of Ubuntu, they'll send their users a prompt saying "Hey, we've got a new OS for you."

But this time, they haven't. Why not? Let's find out!

"An OS vendor can receive critical feedback before a product goes live, prevent machines from upgrading to the new buggy version, fix the issue in less than a week, and then push updates once the problem has been resolved" - I wish a lot more software operated that way.

It's good to see someone take this announcement as a good-thing

I've been hearing a lot of bad stuff about Ubuntu lately like snaps and flutter being bad but this news kinda reminds me they're still doing a good job listening to their users and responding quickly. Nice video!

Linux: A homeopathic number of people gets black screen on upgrade - Ubuntu: Beware do not upgrade!
Windows: Literally a billion people pray during the "function updates" - Microsoft: Nah, we might address the issue probably next month or so, go ahead.

I’m one of these 17 people, with MBP late 2011. Installed Ubuntu 2104 and got black screen. Tried KUbuntu 2104 , same black screen. Then installed 2004 LTS and it works fine.

Happy to see more positive opinions about Canonical. Sometimes people go too harsh on them :(

how ironic that open source free software cares more about its users stability than proprietary software.

As an Ubuntu 21.04 user and have been using ubuntu for a while now I gotta say I respect them much now

Me who accidentally fast tracked to this version a few months ago...
That broke a lot of dependencies...
Seems like a lot of them are getting 21.04 versions now though, so it's all good!

Your videos are so good, especially this one. I'm still laughing. Almost everything in my life is better since making the full time switch to Linux 2 years ago. Love your work Gardiner 👏👏👏

Nice video with enthusiasm that makes me enthusiastic! Well done my friends, I’ve been really enjoying your videos! SO glad we have freedom in FOSS. Fell in Love with the Linux Way TM back with Kernel 1.0. Once one taste freedom in computing, no going back.

I love your videos. Not only are they short and info filled, some are very controversial :)

Long live Linux Gamer!
