We have a saying in Poland for this: "success has many fathers, failure is an orphan"

For every Jeff Bezos, there are ten thousand people who tried just as hard as Jeff and we're just as smart as Jeff, but failed.

my mom stopped schooling at 8 years old, while my dad stopped when he was 15,both due to poverty. Statistically the cycle of poverty would continue, but a University opened up close to our home, and my father worked there as a gardener, there he borrowed books for me and opened up my interest in education and its importance. Now I'm working there as an academic faculty member, and people around would always ask how a barely educated gardener raise up an academician. Looking back, if we were just a few kilometres away from the uni, our lives could drastically altered, among other factors that are too long to explain. Today I try my best to help others who weren't so lucky.

this video is the reason why leaders should be chosen by the general public , and be based on skill rather than political power. We should be able to also nominate the leaders, instead of the parties and so on nominating.

Interesting indeed, hate people bragging about their "hard work" like there isn't thousands of people that worked just as hard or even harder than you, but didn't have the luck as you. Hard work is necessary, but it's not enough.

Have you ever heard the saying, "the harder you work, the luckier you get?" I see luck as a high probability of selection for that thing you want. I had a neighbor who was a professional game player to supplement his retirement. He won cars, vacations and money on a regular basis, spent 4 hours a day researching games and writing out entry forms.

I'm Batman

Gosh, i was just describing this exact concept to my wife a couple of months ago... after reflecting on my past when i adopted the mindset of having complete control of my destiny and success, which resulted in favorable outcome after a few years. I made sure to bring myself back to reality on the external factors that brought chance for my (refined) skills to be productive in the way I had originally envisioned. I basically had to brainwash myself to do it... Watching movies like "The pursuit of happiness" helps a lot to get into that sort of grinding mode where you don't accept things as they are, you relentlessly work towards your dream of how things can be.

I love this VLOG. Keep up the good work!
